What We Do

Work in Progress: The complexity of the site and stakeholders involves in-depth understanding of guidelines and regulations. While these conversations are on-going, we have made substantial progress within the last six months:

  • Solicited Scopes of Work from contractors for feasibility study & assess overall project cost.

  • Partnering with the University of Oregon Landscape Architecture Program to develop professional visual mock-ups of the site

  • Met with Oregon Department of Transportation regarding project feasibility, potential design construct, and historic preservation

  • Facilitating stakeholders meetings with local politicians and community leaders

  • Met with local Parks & Recreation Departments and Travel Lane County

  • Partnered with Willamette RiverKeepers

  • Seeking support from trusted nonprofits improves Park’s brand in community

Short Term Objectives:

  1. Developing a fundraising plan to implement a project feasibility study and other costs associated with design consulting and permits

  2. Increase board members to reflect a diversity of stakeholders

  3. Work with local business to garner support.

  4. Create an economic viability study to assess potential tourism benefits

Moving Forward:
We are in communication with critical stakeholders. We are seeking input from governing agencies, small businesses and nonprofits. Community support is critical for the long-term success of the Whitewater Park and a pre-requisite for fundraising.
